HyAcademy Network 100+ September 2026 Meeting

The HyAcademy University Network 100+ met online on 11 September 2026 to review its progress and discuss how member universities can participate more actively.

The session began with an outline of the meeting objectives and preparations for the next in-person meeting during EU Hydrogen Week. An update on the Network covered its membership, countries represented, pending applications and priorities for 2026–2027.

A key part of the meeting focused on the inventory of hydrogen education activities developed under Work Package 1, a defined area of work within the HyAcademy project. The discussion also covered the Gap Map, which helps identify where existing educational provision may fall short of hydrogen education and training needs. Participants highlighted the importance of collecting and updating information from European universities to support this work.

The meeting also explored entrepreneurship and soft skills in hydrogen education, including opportunities to integrate these topics into university courses.

The final discussion considered how universities can contribute through pilot activities, feedback, laboratory access, placement contacts and future collaboration.

The meeting highlighted the importance of active participation from member universities in strengthening hydrogen education across Europe.
