Bulgaria and South Africa: Educational Partnership for a Hydrogen-Powered Future

Trakia University – Stara Zagora is ready to expand its international cooperation through European hydrogen education programs, with a focus on South Africa.
As a partner in the European Hydrogen Academy – a pan-European initiative aiming to build a network of 500 schools and 100 universities worldwide, Trakia University is already contributing to the development of 10 university textbooks and specialized materials for schools. All educational resources will be provided free of charge to participating institutions. A “Teach the Teacher” program is also being developed to ensure the effective implementation of the curricula. This collaboration aims to create a new generation of specialists equipped to drive the global hydrogen economy forward.

As part of this initiative, Bulgaria warmly welcomes schools and universities from South Africa that are interested in becoming part of this global educational and research effort in the field of hydrogen technologies – a strategic area of global importance. As part of this initiative, a school and a university from Namibia are already included, as well as schools from South Africa.

Interested institutions – schools and universities, are encouraged to send information about their organization, including the name and email of a contact person, via the Bulgarian Embassy in South Africa.
