Electrolysis Experiment

This experiment on Electrolysis is aimed at students aged 12-15, and was created as part of the HyAcademy.eu Project with the expertise of Jon Wood, Science Performer, at the University of Birmingham. For primary school pupils, it is recommended for this practical to be demonstrated by a teacher because of the risks from both electricity and water being involved.

Some follow questions are also asked to help students understand the reaction that is happening and how the different gases can be identified by observation alone.
