The HyLaw database is an innovative online resource designed to support the deployment of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies by mapping and analysing the legal and administrative frameworks that affect them. Developed under the HyLaw project, a publicly accessible platform compiles detailed legal-administrative processes (LAPs) from across Europe, covering key applications such as hydrogen production, transport, refuelling infrastructure, vehicles and grid integration. It enables easy identification, comparison and assessment of regulatory requirements and potential bottlenecks by country and technology type, helping stakeholders understand permitting, safety, certification and other regulatory landscapes. The database is part of a broader effort to highlight best practices, inform policymakers and reduce regulatory hurdles to accelerate market uptake of clean hydrogen solutions.
